Funding Opportunities

German language courses may be funded by several organisations, including the Vienna Employment Promotion Fund (waff), the Austrian Integration Fund (ÖIF), the Vienna Chamber of Labour (AK), the MA 17, the MA 35 and the AMS (Austrian Public Employment Service) .

Our Germanica Educational Institute offers a variety of funding options to help you finance your German language course.

Vienna Employment Promotion Fund (waff)

The Vienna Employment Promotion Fund (waff) provides financial support to employees, job seekers, people on educational or parental leave, and self-employed persons whose main residence is in Vienna.

The waff covers up to 90% of course and examination fees, up to a maximum of €3000, for vocational education and professional training.

Our Germanica Educational Institute is an officially recognised educational provider of the waff.

MA 35 issues a Federal Integration Voucher, which can be used for A2 German integration courses. Under certain conditions, 50% of the course fees (up to €750) are covered.

This voucher can be redeemed at Germanica Educational Institute.

Austrian Integration Fund (ÖIF)

The Austrian Integration Fund (ÖIF) finances German language courses for recognised refugees, beneficiaries of subsidiary protection, and displaced persons in accordance with Section 62 of the Austrian Asylum Act 2005. The ÖIF covers 100% of the course fees.

Germanica Educational Institute is officially accredited by the ÖIF.

The Vienna Chamber of Labour (AK) provides all AK members with an Education Voucher worth €150. You can request the voucher free of charge at: https://wien.arbeiterkammer.at/bildungsgutschein or by calling 0800 311 311.
